I read an article today that introduced me to what looks like a new internet trend. Trading websites. Basically the idea is that you trade your junk for other people's junk. Only with the power of the internet there are soo many people that maybe somebody's junk is your treasure. We're mainly talking about cd's, dvd's and books. Seems like a good idea, so maybe i'll try it out and see how it goes.
At the end of the Brazil vs Australia World Cup match on Sat. there was a funny little slip up on ABC. They were coming back from a commercial break to an aerial shot of the stadium. In the background you here a Latino voice humming a little song and singing something like "Gola Gola Gola", then silence... then "Oh Jesus".. then more silence. I guess it was funnier if you actually saw it, but i watched it like 5 times on the DVR.
Now I love Brazil as much as the next guy, but I thought it was nice that about 3/4 of the way through the match the announcers finally started admitting that Brazil wasn't playing that well. Next game I would count how many times they say imagination, league of their own, or joy/love of the game.. but i'll probably be watching on Univision....so forget it.
For those of you keeping track at home, I now have 29 Coke reward points. Just 1011 more and i can get one of the Adidas Wold Cup soccer balls!
